Car Stuff
I'm heading over to my brother's this weekend to help him mount his flat screen TV on the wall. Neither of us have ever attempted to do this before so hopefully we can manage. You know, I'm not really a fan of wall-mounted TVs, myself. Most of the times when I've seen them done like that, they're too high, so it's like you have to sit on the couch and look up in order to see it. I think your neck would get tired after awhile. I like my TVs roughly at eye level. Same thing with monitors, too. Anyway, my brother lives in the city so I have to drive a little to get there, but he said he'd buy me lunch wherever I wanted if I help him, so I'm getting a free meal!
Speaking of driving, I'm in the market for a new car. My current car, a 2004 Civic, has over 100,000 miles on it and even though it doesn't really have any problems, I'm just kinda in the mood for something else. I'm not really one of those people who has to have a new car every few years, but my car is almost 10 years old, so I think I'm gonna start looking. One thing I like about driving my Civic is that I get some of the cheapest car insurance around. It's a sedan, too, which tend to have lower insurance rates than coupes. I'm a little worried my rates might go up if I buy a new car. It's not like I'm going to get anything sporty or anything, but I'm pretty sure the rates will be higher on a more recent car.
And speaking of cars, I'd like to get something with a decent stereo system. I tend to drive a lot and I like to enjoy my music while I'm on the road. I don't turn it up so loud that it annoys everyone, but I like it to sound good. It's like the difference between a cheap pair of headphones and a good pair.
I'm not really sure what kind of car I want, though. I was gonna check out the new Civics and see if they're still as cool as mine. I don't even really know what else is out there. I haven't looked at cars really since I was buying this last one. I just want to get something that has good gas mileage.
